Client Experiences
In Their Own Words
"I contacted Baan Legal when I was not sure what to do next. The listening session was exactly that — someone actually listened. They explained my situation in plain terms without using language I didn't understand. I felt less overwhelmed after just one appointment."
Wanida Phothong
Hat Yai, Songkhla · May 2025
"The mediation process took a couple of sessions, which was a little longer than I expected. But the outcome — a written parenting agreement we both signed — has held. My ex-husband and I still don't agree on everything, but the structure helps. Pranom was patient with us both."
Nattaya Kanchanarat
Sadao, Songkhla · April 2025
"As a foreign resident in Hat Yai, I was worried about navigating Thai family court. Somchai explained each step clearly and kept me updated throughout. The bilingual documentation made it easy for me to follow what was happening. I felt supported, not lost."
David Mallinson
Hat Yai, Songkhla · May 2025
"I came in with a lot of anxiety about what a court process would involve. Anchisa walked me through every stage before it happened, and Somchai represented me clearly in court. Things didn't go perfectly at first, but they kept me calm and we eventually reached the outcome I needed for my children."

"The listening session was worth every baht. I'd been going round in circles for weeks about whether to take formal action. One session with Pranom helped me understand what I was actually dealing with and what my realistic options were. I then decided not to go to court — which was also the right decision."
Arthit Tongkerd
Songkhla · May 2025
"We used the mediation service and it worked better than I thought it would. The key thing was that Baan Legal genuinely tried to find a middle ground — they weren't pushing either of us towards a position. The agreement is fair and we both understand it."

Case Summaries
How We Helped
Three situations where Baan Legal was able to provide useful, considered support.
Case Study 01
Parenting Arrangement After Separation
The Situation
A couple in Hat Yai had separated and needed to agree on their children's living arrangements. Communication between them had broken down and both were unsure how to move forward without escalating the situation.
Our Approach
We began with separate listening sessions with each parent, then moved to two structured joint mediation meetings. Both sessions were managed carefully to keep communication productive.
The Outcome
A written parenting agreement was signed within three weeks. Court proceedings were not needed. Both parents described the process as fairer than they expected. The arrangement has been in place since May 2025.
Case Study 02
Court Representation for a Foreign Resident
The Situation
A British national living in Hat Yai needed representation in a Thai family court matter. Language and procedural unfamiliarity were adding significant stress to an already difficult situation.
Our Approach
We prepared all documentation bilingually, explained each procedural step in advance, and attended court over two hearings. The client received a written summary after each hearing.
The Outcome
The court matter was resolved over approximately six weeks. The client described the experience as "far less frightening than I feared" and specifically appreciated the advance briefings before each hearing.
Case Study 03
First Session Leading to Informed Decision
The Situation
A client came in after receiving conflicting advice from different sources. They were considering formal proceedings but were not sure whether their situation actually required it.
Our Approach
During a 90-minute listening session, we reviewed the situation in detail and laid out the realistic options — including the option of not taking formal action at all.
The Outcome
The client decided that mediation was a better fit than court proceedings. They returned for the mediation service the following month. The initial session gave them the clarity to make that decision confidently.
